“Village Self-Governance in China: Past, Present and Future”

Call for Papers - International

 

Background: The EU-China Training Programme on Village Governance

The EU-China Training Programme on Village Governance is a five-year inter-governmental project between the European Commission and the Chinese Government which was officially launched in May 2001，with the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the executing agency.

 

The International Conference

In order to enhance applied research in the field of village self-governance in China and to promote exchange between international and Chinese experts in this field, the EU-China Training Programme on Village Governance will hold an International Conference on 5-7 April 2006.

In order to solicit contributions from a wider range of scholars and experts the deadline for international contributions has been postponed.

 

New deadline for abstracts: 15 February 2006

 

Contributors will be informed by 20 February 2006 if their abstract is selected.

 

The selected participants are then required to submit their full paper (ca. 10 pages, Arial 12, ca. 5000 words) latest by 20 March 2006.
